Generation Y, mostly known as millennials, carries with it some clearly defined characteristics. One of the main features that comes to mind when we think of millennials is that they are the world’s first ‘digital natives’, specifically born at a time when the Internet era had already begun, and they have been using technological and digital tools since their earliest childhood. Generation Y is very adaptable, which means that it can adapt to different circumstances. In addition to adaptability, narcissism is another important characteristic of Generation Y. They are also known as the “Me Generation”, where “Me” means they are selfish and only care about themselves. Their minds are focused on the goals they want to achieve and they are willing to do whatever it takes to make their dreams a reality. In a development programme for Generation Y, representatives of this generation can learn a lot and contribute to intergenerational understanding and cooperation. The development programme has been designed to take into account the challenges and gaps of the Millennial generation as much as possible.
