The period between 1948 and 1967 is known as the “baby boom” years because of the incredible increase in birth rates worldwide. The name “Baby Boomers” is derived from this period. Baby Boomers are the oldest generation still active in the workforce. Baby Boomers today represent the largest generation in terms of their numbers. We tend to assume that Baby Boomers are not willing to develop or learn anything, but this is not true. In a development program for Baby Boomers, representatives of this generation can learn a lot and contribute to intergenerational understanding and cooperation. The development programme has been designed to reflect the challenges and gaps of the Baby Boomers as much as possible.
